Stefan Neville grew up on a steady diet of 'Whizzer and Chips', 'Whoopee', 'Beano', 'The Incredible Hulk' and of course, 'Tintin' and 'Asterix'. He still remembers how his dad, who created the strip 'Waitemata Gull', explained to him and his sister how to draw comics. His sister now makes the comic 'Nice Gravy'. As a member of New Zealand's most enthusiastic mini-comics group, Oats Comics, Stefan Neville contributed and produced numerous titles. Some of these are: 'Dad + Tracy', 'The New Dixon' and recently, 'The City of Tales Collections'. On the latter, he is working together with Clayton Noone, and the comic is up to its third volume. Stefan Neville also sings in a band, called Pumice.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
