Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley

Bryan Lee O'Malley was born in London, Ontario, Canada. He has lived in Toronto and Nova Scotia, and now resides in the USA. He didn't finish his Film Studies and eventually chose a career in comics. He started out as a letterer with the Portland-based publisher Oni Press. His first published work was the Oni Press miniseries 'Hopeless Savages: Ground Zero', written by Jen Van Meter. His first graphic novel was 'Lost at Sea' in 2003. He is best known for the 'Scott Pilgrim' series, that was published between 2004 and 2010. In August 2010 a film adaptation of this serial, called 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World', was released by Universal Pictures. O'Malley is also a songwriter and musician under the name Kupek.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
