H. O'Neill was an early British comic artist. He created 'Tall Thomas and Butterball', which appeared in magazine Comic Life in 1916. He also contributed 'Gay Gus and Shrimp' to magazine The Big Comic in 1914. These two characters commented on the Great War and the Germ-huns, as they called the enemy. |
