Born in Hoorn, Nico Oeloff was a painter and social worker. He drew the Frisian strip 'Kopkewoartel' with texts by Lieuwe Brolsma for the weekly Frysk & Frij from 1947 to 1950. A book collection was published by Venus in 2007.
