Carey Cassius Orr was the artist of the 'The Kernel Cootie' strip. The comic probably ran from 1919 to 1922. He was the editorial cartoonist of the Chicago Tribune. Orr is the uncle of Martha Orr, creator of 'Apple Mary'. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his editorial cartoons in 1961. |
