X-Men, by Carlos Pacheco

Carlos Pacheco is one of the Spanish artists that found their way to the American comics market in the 1990s. He began his career doing covers for the Spanish editions of Marvel titles at Planeta-DeAgostini between 1986 and 1992. For Marvel US, he has worked on titles like 'X-Men', 'Fantastic 4', the maxiserie 'Avengers Forever' and the graphic novel 'JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice'. He eventually came up with his own title, 'Arrowsmith', together with writer Kurt Busiek. In addition to his US work, he remains active in Spain as one of the founders of Dolmen Editorial. In 2003, he signed up with DC to become a regular artist on the Joseph Loeb scripted 'Superman/Batman' title.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
