Pablo Paez got introduced to the art world through his father Roberto, and studied drawing at the atelier of Aido Caballo. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in 1981 (drawing) and 1985 (sculpting). He has worked for several magazines, including Clarín, La Razón, Perfil, Sur, Noticias, El Gráfico, El Periodista, Humor and Rolling Stone. His comics have been published in Fierro, Lancio (Italy), Biofutur, Á Suivre (France) and Totem (Spain). He has contributed to television shows like 'El Otro Lado' (ATC). He founded the Argentine Comics School in 1990. He is also active as a painter, collage artist and animator.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
