Alecos Papadatos is a cartoonist, animator and illustrator, born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He studied economics in Greece, and then marketing in Paris. In the second half of the 1980s he worked in animation on cartoon design, animated commercials, cartoon videoclips and television series (including the Canal+ cartoon of 'Babar').
He moved to Athens in 1991, where he established his own studio and started to work as a teacher in animation and animated film production, while also producing layouts, color backgrounds and animation for several animated series, pilots, feature films and CD-ROMS for the European market together with his wife Annie Di Donna.
