Comic in Atze, by Andreas Pasda

Andreas Pasda was born in East Germany in 1961 (the year that the Wall was built). After his education, he started working for the publisher Junge Welt. He made his debut in comics when his first work was published in magazine Atze. Especially his animal comic 'Piep und Tschiep' and the adventure series 'Arminius' became very popular. In 1990, he also started working for magazine Mosaik. From 1992 until 1994 he drew the daily 'Abrafaxe' newspaper comic. After 1994, his contributions became more sporadic. Together with Jörg Reuter and Jens-Uwe Schubert he founded the artist group Zonic and created 'Wandlitz'. Since 2001, he has been working for Mosaik more regularly again.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
