Charles Peattie studied painting at St Martin's School of Art. During the early 1980s he worked as a portrait painter, freelance cartoonist and designer of greeting cards. With Mark Warren, he produced the legendary 'Dick' cartoon in Melody Maker, and 'Celeb' in Private Eye. He created the famous 'Alex' cartoon strip for Private Eye together with Russell Taylor. Peattie is also doing comedy scriptwork for television and films.
