Suso Peña Rego was an artist who mainly worked for the foreign market throug the Selecciones Ilustradas and La Floresta agencies. He worked on the Spanish production of stories for the horror magazines by the American publishers Warren and Skywald. He drew for German series like 'Jeff Blake' and 'Wheeler', and 'The Steel Claw' for Fleetway in Britain.

For the Spanish market, he did art on series like '5 x Infinito', 'Gringo', 'Safari' and 'África' (the latter for Gran Pulgarcito), in alternation with other artists. He wrote and drew the series 'Control' in the science-fiction magazine 1984.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
