Pepo Pérez was born in Málaga in 1969. He wrote about comics in magazines U, Volumen and Rock de Lux. Since 1997 he also contributed illustrations to the latter. As a comics artist he drew 'Orígenes Jaque Mate: Sangre' teaming up with scriptwriter Juan Carlos Cereza in 1998. In addition he participated in the collective work 'La Historia del Blues' in 2000. In 2004 publisher Astiberri launched 'El Vecino', a series of books written by Santiago García and drawn by Pepo Pérez. It was about a Spanish superhero’s neighbour and his otherwise ordinary daily life.
