Forty Winks #3 (March 1998)

John Peters made the comic series 'Forty Winks' for comic books and several anthologies between 1996 and 2000. From 2002-04, he made a bunch of digests and minis to sell at local shows. He also started drawing the 'Pretty Female Assassin Pixie' books for Vince Sneed. In 2003. He also joined Squidworks, a local Denver comics firm, drawing among others 'Crazy Azian Girl'. In 2004, he started the Gypsygirl Press site and did his first 24-hour comic. In January 2005, his comic 'Gypsy!' first appeared on Gypsygirl Press and was later picked up by the Girlamatic website.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
