Uti Var Hage

Krister Petersson is a Swedish comic artist best known as the creator of 'Uti Vår Hage'. Petersson was born in Nävragöl, Blekinge, and published his first comic strips in Svenska Serier in 1980. His comics appeared under the 'Uti Vår Hage' ('In Our Meadow') banner and they evolved into Petersson's burlesque series about life in a small Swedish town. It became a back-up feature in 91:an in 1983 and its popularity eventually led to its own comic book in 2002.

Petersson has also drawn a great many stories for 91:an's title comic. He created his second series, 'Vi å pappa', for Fantomen in 1993. It has since then appeared in 91:an and in Uti Vår Hage magazine. Krister Petersson is now assisted by his sons Martin and Anton.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
