Enrico Mauro Pinochi

Enrico Pinochi studied art in Rome. In the 1920s, he cooperated with Corriere dei Piccoli and La Lettura. In the 1930s, his main focus was fashion and advertising art, as well as illustrations for books and magazines. He became comics art director of Mondadori publishers in 1938.

He drew a couple of the first official Italian Disney comics with texts by Federico Pedrocchi, including 'Pippo Viaggiatore di Commercio', 'Clarabella tra gli Artigli del Diavolo Nero' and three stories with 'Paperino' ('Donald Duck'). Pinochi emigrated to Argentina in the early 1940s, where he continued to illustrate books until his death in the mid-1960s.
