Ace Buckley (Startling Comics #10, 1941)
Max Plaisted was active in the comics field from the mid-1930s to the early 1950s. He did comic book art for Better/Standard ('Ace Buckley', 'American Crusader', 'Larry North U.S.N.', 'Space Rovers'), Quality ('Blackhawk') and Trojan ('Dan Turner', 'Sally the Sleuth'). He did several pulp art comics in the 1930s, such as for Spicy Adventure Stories ('Diana Daw'), Speed Detective Comics and Thrilling Adventures ('Ace Jordan'). Max Plaisted used different pen names, such as "Clayton Maxwell" and "Bob MacKay".
