Ángel Pons was a pioneering comic artist in Madrid at the end of the nineteenth century. He was editor of the anticlerical weekly magazine Satanás (1886) and co-founder of the second edition of La Caricatura (1892-93). He emigrated to Mexico. His work has appeared in Blanco y Negro, El Fígaro, La Caricatura, La Semana Cómica, Los Madriles and Satanás. |
