Francis Porcel got his interest in comic art through the publications of the Spanish publishing house Bruguera and artists like Uderzo and Giménez. He enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona at the age of 19, and studied there for three years. He befriended fellow comic artists like Sergio Garcia. He published his debut comic album 'La Cité des Morts' with Magemultimedia at age 22. By 2003, he teamed up with French scriptwriter Jean-David Morvan to create the series 'Reality Show' for Dargaud. He has also participated in the sixth book in Morvan's collective project 'Les Chroniques de Sillage' and worked with Zidrou on the World War I graphic novel 'Les Folies Bergère' in 2012.
