Priel was one of the main artists of comic stories for De Kleine Wij, the children's supplement of the socialist magazine Wij, that started in 1936. Priel drew stories like 'Amin en zijn Haan'. Other contributors were Huib, Toby Vos, Rein Stuurman and H. Rotgans.
