from TMEO, by Alvarez Rabo

Alvarez Rabo is one of the Spanish humorists that stood out in the 1990s, for his controversial and politically incorrect work. Some groups have alledgedly tried to prevent the diffusion of his work because of its blasphemous content.

Rabo began his career as an early contributor to the TMEO review. Throughout the 1990s, he published in the magazine El Víbora, and his pages have also appeared in several fanzines. His work has been collected in books like 'Historias Raberas', 'Consejos sexuales de Álvarez Rabo' (2 volumes), 'A las Mujeres no les Gusta Follar', 'No puedo dar más', 'Hasta el rabo', 'Hombres alterados' and 'El princi-pito'.

'Alvarez Rabo' is a pseudonym, and according to Rabo, he was born in Montforte de Lemos, and raised in Bilbao, but perhaps he should not be taken too seriously.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
