Oto Reisinger is a Croatian cartoonist, and a graduate in Architecture. He had his first work published in Šilo in 1942, and then in Studentski List at the age of 18. He was a regular contributor to Kerempuh weekly humor magazine between 1946 and 1950. His work has also appeared in many foreign magazines, including Quick in Germany, Panorama from The Netherlands, Nebelplater in Switzerland and the UK magazine Punch. His cartoons caused a protest from Soviet president Krushchev, because they poked fun at Stalinism. Reisinger alos achieved great popularity with the comic 'Štefekove pustolovine' that ran in Plavi Vjesnik between 1964 and 1966.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop.
However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
