Art History Dropout, by Barnaby Richards

Barnaby Richards is an illustrator and comic book artist with a fantastical/imaginative dreamy style. Barnaby's editorial activities includes work for The Guardian, The Independent on Sunday, The Observer and Walker Books. In 2011 he published a book called 'Two sentences', which is a collaboration with Tanya Meditzky. They both wrote two sentences for the other to illustrate. Tanya produced this book from the results.

Richards also contributed to 'How to get what YOU want', a self-help book for young adults by Nina Grunfeld, published by Walker Books. He has contributed to issues of Stugeon White Moss in 2005 and self-published 'The Hat' in that same year.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
