Ella Riemersma was a Dutch illustrator and graphic designer, born in Dordrecht. She later moved to Amsterdam before settling in The Hague in 1932. Around 1924 she was a member of the painter's association Pictura in Dordrecht. She contributed to the magazines like Zonneschijn and Ons Thuis in the 1920s. She also illustrated several (children's) books and postcards, among others for the publishers Meulenhoff and Van Holkema & Warendorf. Riermersma's fashion illustrations appeared in De Groene Amsterdammer and De Vrouw en Haar Huis. She also did advertising assignments for the Amsterdam electricity company and the Driessen cocoa factory. After the Second World War she and her husband moved to Hilversum. When her husband passed away, she moved to Vienna, where she died in 1993.
