Mrs. Fitz's Flats (12/1961)

Frank Roberge was born in Stratford, Connecticut. He started cartooning 1944 without a formal art training. He was an assistant on the 'Brenda Starr' comic strip in the late 1940s and early 1940s. He then joined Mort Walker's staff and assisted on 'Beetle Bailey'. In the 1960s he created his own strip, 'Mrs. Fitz's Flats', which was syndicated by King Features. In the 1970s he drew for Charlton's TV tie-in titles, such as 'Dino', 'The Flintstones', 'The Jetsons', 'Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm', 'Popeye' and 'Yogi Bear'. He also did some promotional 'Popeye' strips for King Features Syndicate.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
