Larry Rodman is the creator of 'Thringst', an online comic that appeared in the late 1990s. He is an occasional illustrator and cartoonist, working on commissions and personal projects for publication. His main involvement with comics has been as a writer for The Comics Journal (since 1989), and for other books by Fantagraphics. He is a founding member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Comic Art , due to his coverage of Georgetown Universities International Comic Art Festival. He is also a cartooning and studio art teacher, and exhibiting artist, in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.
