Juha Roikonen, who uses the pseudonym Jii, was born in Juva, Finland in 1970. He studied to become a graphic designer, and graduated in Lahti in 1995. He broke through in the Finnish comics scene in the early 1990s with a series of self-published magazines. His best known creation is the cat with the talking tale 'Jasso-kissa', whose absurd adventures he has created since 1992. It first ran in newspaper Helsingin Sanomat from 1993 to 1995. Since then, 'Jasso' has been published in several comic books and magazines (such as Lemmikki), and also in an animated cartoon. Juha Roikonen has had several exhibitions all over Europe.
