Born in Maastricht, The Netherlands, Marcel Rouffa has mainly worked for the Flemisch market. He made his debut in Robbedoes Album + with 'Derek Palmers' and 'Ludoviek' in the early 1980s. As a scenarist, he has cooperated with Marvano on the Sulitzer adaptation 'Rourke' at Dupuis, and with Erika Raven on 'Thomas Rindt'. As an artist, he has created several stories about World War I, such as 'Schimmen' and 'Massascène'. He also wrote 'Ver van Ieper', about the fights around the town Ypres during World War I, which was illustrated by Marvano. For Suske en Wiske Weekblad, Rouffa wrote some stories of 'Dag en Heidi' for Jeff Broeckx, and drew 'De Familie Klipper' and 'Twinstar' himself.
