De Familie Klipper, by Marcel Rouffa

Born in Maastricht, The Netherlands, Marcel Rouffa has mainly worked for the Flemisch market. He studied arts in Antwerp, and made his debut in the Robbedoes Album + specials with 'Derek Palmers' and 'Ludoviek' in the early 1980s. He subsequently joined Willy Vandersteen's 'Bessy' studios in Antwerp. Afterwards, he worked as a scenarist for Erika Raven (the award-winning 'Thomas Rindt'), Marvano (the Sulitzer adaptation 'Rourke' at Dupuis) and Jeff Broeckx ('Dag en Heidi').

For the Suske en Wiske holiday specials, he illustrated 'De Familie Klipper' from scripts by Marc Legendre. He created the science-fiction series 'Twinstar' for Suske en Wiske Weekblad in the late 1990s, and produced several stories about World War I, including the comics 'Schimmen' and 'Massascène'. With Marvano, he made the illustrated book 'Ver van Ieper', about the fights around the town Ypres during World War I.

Series and books by Marcel Rouffa in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
