Bakemono by Jean-Luc Sala

Jean-Luc Sala is a graduate from the Saint-Luc Institute in Liège. In 1990 he won a young talent contest held by Lombard, together with Reculé. With Reculé as the artist and Sala as the artist, Lombard published the team's first album in 1993, 'La Légende de Kynan'. Sala has illustrated roleplaying games like 'Elric', 'Stormbringer', 'Hawkmoon' and 'Runequest' and worked as a conceptual designer for video games between 1993 and 2001. In 2004 he returned to comics with 'Cross Fire', a series drawn by Pierre-Mony Chan and published by Soleil Productions. This was followed by the heroic fantasy series 'Bakemono', published by Lombard from 2006, for which Sala does both script and artwork. In 2007 he wrote the script for an album in the Soleil series 'Kookaburra Universe', illustrated by Afif Khaled.

Series and books by Jean-Luc Sala in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
