Carlos Santos was born in Oliveira de Azemeis, Portugal, in 1975, but he moved with his parents to Montreal (Canada) in 1976. In 1993, he studied graphism at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, where he started doing cartoons for the magazine Exil. He then pursued his exploration of the medium under the pseudonym "D. Bilos", through many underground cartoon magazines, among them Mr. Swiz presents, Foetus, 106U, Fish Piss, aMAZEzine and Katshup. |

He also participated in some collective exhibitions (like Luciole, BD Bande à Part 1, Komikaze, Delirium Tremens), acts as artistic director for Image Gun (Crunchy Comix), and appears frequently as illustrator in the weekly newspapers ICI and Montreal Mirror. |
