Heiri Schmid is a graphic artist from Wuppenau. He has worked as Senior Visualizer and Art Director for advertising agencies in Johannesburg and Paris. He was a freelance illustrators for agencies and publishers, among others 'McGlobi' comics for Globi Verlag, before becoming the lead artist of the regular 'Globi' books in 1997. 'Globi' is one of Switzerland's best known comic characters and was created by Robert Lips and Ignatius Karl Scheile in commission of the Globus department stores in 1932. Schmid works with writers like Jürg Lendenmann and Guido Strebel on new books in the 'Globi Klassik' collection.
