Die Schniebel Biebel by Jan P Schniebel

Jan P. Schniebel began his career in comix with self-publishing 'Turtels' between 1971 and 1974. His best known creation is the 'Rowohlt Rotfuchs', also known as 'Rororo Rotfuchs', the mascot for a collection of children's books published by Rowohlt Verlag. Schniebel has made comics with the character, whose name has become a synonym for modern children's literature, since 1972. A book collection called 'Fuchs-Jux' was published by Rowohlt in 1974 and it was followed by 'Die grosse Fuchs-Parade' in 1976. Schniebel published his collection 'Die Schiebel-Biebel' with Elefanten Press in 1981.
