Anupam Sinha was born in Kanpur as the son of a government officer. He began his career at the early age of 13, contributing to the magazine Deewana Tej in 1975. He joined the popular magazine Diamond Comics in 1979, where he created serials like 'Jadoo ka Danda', 'Tauji' and 'Fauladi Singh'. He joined Raj Comics in 1987 and created 'Super Commando Dhruva', one of India's most popular comics. He also took over the artwork of the 'Nagraj' series from Parshuram Sharma and Pratap Mulick in 1995, increasing it's popularity by adding more sci-fi and mythological themes. He lives and works in Delhi's Rohini neighborhood.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
