Donald Soffritti was born in Ferrare. He attended art school and began his career drawing for the Italian daily, sports and children's press. He enrolled at the Disney Academy in 1997, and has illustrated various Disney stories since, at first as an inker for Giovani Marmotte and Minni & Company and then as an artist and cover illustrator for Paperino Paperotto and Topolino. For Topolino he not only illustrated several longer stories starring Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, but he has also provided script and art for gag strips starring Young Donald Duck (Paperino Paperotto) since 2008.
