Solveg was a regular artist for Lisette magazine in the 1950s. He (or she?) illustrated the adventures of 'Betty', of which several episodes appeared throughout the decade (scripts by Rouillard). One album was published by Ed. de Montsouris in 1959, 'Betty monte un Cirque'.

For the Bonne Presse, he has illustrated albums like 'Le Maître des Volcans' (with Robitaillie in the collection 'Cinématique', 1955) and 'Marie, Mère de Jesus' (with J. Richard, 1956). Starting in 1952, Solveg illustrated tales and novels for Bernadette, as well as the serial 'Nos Reines de France'. Solveg created 'Boucle d'Or' with Bernadette Rochemont in 1962.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
