Abel Kouamé N'Guessan, who uses the artist name Kan Souffle, was born in Tommodi, Ivory Coast in 1977. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and started collaborating with magazine Gbich! in 1999. Influenced by his love for American superheroes and Japanese manga, he created 'Gbassman', an esoteric superhero comic that has appeared weekly since the magazine's launch. He also works for several magazines and agencies as illustrator and infographics artist.
