Rick Stasi is an artist who has drawn for Marvel Comics and DC Comics. In the early 1990s, he cooperated on Marvel's short-lived title The Disney Afternoon, illustrating comics with 'Bonkers' and 'Darkwing Duck'. He also did an issue of 'Spider-Man Adventures'. His DC credits include such flagship characters as 'Warlord', 'The Legion', 'Batman', 'The Crimson Avenger' and 'Shazam/Captain Marvel'. He has also worked with Warner Bros. International, writing and drawing 'Tiny Toons' and 'Looney Tunes' for their international market. Stasi teaches cartooning, sequential storytelling and storyboard artwork at the Kansas City Art Institute. He was manager of promotions and special sections for The Kansas City Star.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
