Carl Storch was born in Budapest and was an illustrator for magazines like Jugend, Fliegende Blätter and Simplicissimus. He has done book illustrations for the tales of Grimm and for the children's stories of 'Maus und Molli'. For Der Seraphischer Kinderfreund, he created the characters 'Puck und Muck' in 1906. From 1926, he worked with the Dutch writer Frans Fransen on new stories with the characters, published in De Engelbewaarder (by the R.K. Jongensweeshuis in Tilburg). |
