Leif Tande was born in Hønnïgsvåg, Norway, but moved with his family to Quebec at age 5. After his studies, he went to work in the graphics field. He cooperated on the comics fanzines Tabasko! and Zine Zag, participated on the review Spoutnik and made illustrations for several magazines. He was a guest at several Belgian comics conventions and exhibited his paintings at the Librairie Fictre.

He self-published several alternative comix, until he joined Yves Millet's publishing house Zone Convective. His first book with this publishers was 'Villégiature' in 2000. In 2004, he drew 'Palet Dégueulasse' with text by Michel Dolbec in the collection 'Le Poulpe' of the publishing house 6 Pieds Sous Terre.
