comic art by Yasuji Tanioka

Yasuji Tanioka began working in the scene of humor manga in the late 1960s. He introduced many characters to the field, mainly animals in human form. The phrases used by his characters became widely known and trendy, among which "hana-ji bu" (dripping nosebleed resulting from out-of-control lust for manga). His final work was 'Nohohon-gotti', which ran in the weekly Shuukan Manga Sunday.
