André Toral was born in São Paolo, Brazil in 1958. He studied anthropology at the University of São Paolo and started working as an illustrator in 1986. His first comics were published in 1989, in magazines such as Chiclete com Banana, General, Animal and Lucifer. In 1993 his graphic novel 'O Negócio do Sertão' won the prize for best comic book at the Festival HQMix. |
