Ik zien a geire by Frederik van den Stock

Frederik van den Stock graduated with a masters degree in illustration from the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels in 2009. He was an intern at the advertising bureau LG&F (now called Famous) and with cartoonist Quirit. His book 'Ik Zien A Geire', an illustrated story about the city of Antwerp, got published by Mekanik Strip in 2010. The next year he won the Plastieken Plunk Award for best short story in Dutch for 'De Preminiemen' and got selected for the 'Brussels in Shorts' graphic novel project (2012). He is working as a cartoonist for De Standaard alongside of other freelance assignments.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
