La Punition d'Hector, by Emile Vavasseur (Imagerie Quantin)

Émile Vavasseur was a French poster artist active in the late 19th and early 20th century. In addition to posters for among others the Paris-Lyon exposition and Chocolat Jules Damoy, he illustrated picture stories for prints of the Imagerie Quantin in Paris in the style of the "Images d'Épinal". In the 1930s, he illustrated stories for Tom Pouce magazine, published by Conti in Paris in 1939.
