Odilon Verjus

Born in Grenoble, Laurent Verron began his career working for an advertising agency. He then moved to Brussels to work for Jean Roba, whom he assisted on 'Boule et Bill' between 1986 and 1989.

Le Maltais

By 1990, Verron began a collaboration with the publisher Claude Lefrancq to start his own series. This became 'Le Maltais', a mini-series scripted by Loup Durand and published between 1991 and 1994. Verron then teamed up with Yann to create the series about missionary 'Odilon Verjus', of which seven albums were published by Le Lombard between 1996 and 2006.

Boule et Bill

In 2003, Roba retired and it was Verron who became his successor on 'Boule et Bill'. In addition, Verron has on more experimental comics, mostly in cooperation with his friend Chric, such as a story for the 'Comix 2000' anthology by L'Association, contributions to collective books about Edith Piaf and Léo Ferré for Vents d'Ouest and the albums 'Au Fil du Zinc' (2003) and 'Tête de Gondole' (2005) in the Lombard collection Petits Délires. In 2009, Verron and Chric continued their collaboration with the science-fiction series 'Fugitifs sur Terra II' for Dargaud.
