Auguste Vimar was a French 19th century illustrator and watercolor artist, who contributed regularly to Le Figaro Illustré. He was an illustrator for children's publications and is mentioned as one of the influences of Benjamin Rabier. He has illustrated works like 'La Légende des Bêtes', 'Le Cochon de Saint-Antoine', 'L'ours de Berne', 'Les Oies du Capitole' and 'La Baleine du Prophète Jonas'. |
