Julio Vivas is a Spanish comics artist and illustrator. He drew his first realistic comics for Hazañas Bélicas in 1950. At the same time, he produced short stories for Merche, Hipo and La Risa. While doing his own 'Alan Duff' series, he was assigned to draw 'El Trío del Aire' and 'Jim Graves' for the Aventuros del Mundo collection.

He also illustrated several 'Inpector Dan' comics from 1951, starting with the four final books and followed by new adventures in Pulgarcito magazine. In the late 1960s he was present in Bravo with 'Mike Palmer, Detective Privado'. In the 1970s and 1980s he drew several books for the 'Historias' and 'Joyas Literarias Juveniles' collections. Vivas has also drawn for Dutch girls' magazine Tina.
