Happy the Humbug by Myron Waldman

Myron Waldman was an American animtor for Fleischer Studio. He majored in Art from the Pratt Institute and joined Fleischer in 1930. He worked on cartoons starring 'Betty Boop', 'Raggedy Ann' and 'Superman', and was head animator on 'Educated Fish' and 'Hunky and Spunky'. He moved over to Famous Studios in 1942 to work mainly on the 'Casper the Friendly Ghost' series. He became animation directo at Hal Seeger Productions in 1958, where he worked on 'Out of the Inkwell' and 'Milton the Monster' until his retirement in 1968.

As a comic artist, he worked with writer Steve Carlin on the newspaper strip 'Happy the Humbug' in 1940. He also created one of the first graphic novels, 'Eve: A Pictorial Love Story', in 1943.
