Susi Weigel

Susi Weigel went to work in Berlin as illustrator and animator, after completing her art studies. After World War II, she returned to Austria, where she began a collaboration with the children's magazine Unsere Zeitung.

She illustrated comic series like 'Pipsi-Maus' (1949-55), 'Sambo' (1949-52), 'Das Sechserhaus' (1951-57), 'Die Schatzinsel' (1953) and 'Was Pockerl Erlebte' (1953-60). She began a longtime cooperation with Mira Lobe. Together, they made several stories for Usere Zeitung, as well as the children's book series 'Mira' and 'Susi'.
