Sophia Wiedeman is a comic book artist and illustrator living and working in New York City. She received her BA's in Art and English from the College of William and Mary in 2004 and her MFA in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts in 2008. Her work has been featured in publications such as Time Out New York and The L Magazine.
She is also a recipient of a Xeric Foundation Grant which she put towards the publication of her masters thesis 'The Deformitory', a graphic novel about a dormitory where the fantastically deformed seek supposed sanctuary. 'The Lettuce Girl' appeared in 2010.
