Bebe Williams won a Xeric Award for his photocomic character, 'Bobby Ruckers', in which he stars as the main character. Bobby Ruckers is a comical superhero in a computer programmed business suit. Williams started out as a "gallery only" comic artist in the 1970s, with major exhibitions in virtually every place on the planet. Currently, he has the longest running daily webcomix strip in the entire world, 'Art Comics Daily'. It has been running non-stop since March, 1995, features a multitude of mixed media and is presented by his daily comics syndicate, Art Comics. He debuted the web's first animated daily comic in 1995 and the web's first online web comic book in 1994. William's work is still available for exhibitions and he loves to get into theme shows.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
